75 HOURS : Lectures, Demonstrations, Practicals
75 HOURS : Self Study, Assignment, Essays
50 HOURS : Field work 25 cases to be studied, History taking, Constitutional Analysis, Probable Diagnosis, Massage (specific).

Course Structure
Study material provided. Lectures conducted every week /fortnight by ayurvedic physicians & massage specialists from India.

Total Modules : FIVE

Module 1 (DIP.A.M.-1)

Introduction to Ayurveda
Includes understanding basic concepts of Ayurveda like, Panchamahabhootas (Five Elements), Tridoshas (Three Energies), Saptadhatu (Seven BodyTissues), Trimalas (Three Waste products), Agni (Digestive Fire), AMA (Toxins) understanding concept of prakruti (constitution), prakruti parikshana (Constitutional Analysis).
Studying all the concepts & principles for better understanding of the subject.

Module 2 (DIP.A.M.-2) AYURVEDIC ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY (SHARIR RACHANA & SHARIR KRIYA)

Understanding the body’s anatomy & Physiology to have better understanding of the body on which massage is to be done.
Marma points (Vital energy points) on the body.

Module 3 (DIP.A.M-3) AYURVEDIC HERBS, OIL, ESSENTIALS OF PHARMACY & THEREPEUTICS.

Study of important herbs in Ayurveda.
Study of method of preparation of oils.
Essentials of pharmacy, Panchakashaya Kalpana etc.
Some important formulations used for massage.
E.g. Narayan oil, Chandanbalalakshadi oil, Vishagarbha oil, Madhavi oil, Anu oil etc.

Module 4 (DIP.A.M.-4)

Ayurvedic Massage
Detail information about History of Ayurvedic Massage, Benefits, Techniques of Massage, Time of Massage, Indications & contradictions for massage.

Module 5 (DIP. A.M.-5) THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Essential of basic Diagnosis :
Study of Important Diseases where massage used as Therapy.
Specific method of Massage, Time, Oils to be used in each condition.

Total Modules : FIVE

Requisites for admission

Your Deep interest in alternative / Natural healing modlities & Massage.

Background of natural therapies preferred (Not compulsory).

Assessment


Assessment by four methods :

Theory exams

Written Oral exams (Viva Voce)
Essay & Assignments during whole year
All the assessments done by Ayurvedic specialists from India.
